Meet Our Staff!
Rev. Heidi Calhoun
Heidi joined the Nativity family as Pastor in January of 2019. She has been in Ministry for over 30 years with 21 of them ordained to Word and Sacrament. She has served many congregations in the greater Seattle /Tacoma area and worked in the nonprofit sector mobilizing congregations to serve their communities in the areas of housing, hunger and homelessness. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, traveling and walking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She and her 16 year old son keep busy with all of his activities and school commitments.
Evan has been Nativity's office manager since 2013, and a member of the Nativity family since childhood. He studied English at Western Washington University, earning a degree in Creative Writing which he puts to use moonlighting as a freelance writer. To fill his spare time, Evan enjoys card games and binge-watching old TV shows.
Alena is a student at Green River majoring in informational technology (IT). She is warm, charming and excited to have this opportunity in her first job. If you see her around the church be sure to introduce yourself and welcome her to our church family! Welcome Alena!
Danielle has 19+ years of service to the church, having served previously as Director of Music at Creator Lutheran in Lake Tapps and Director of Music and Director of Ministry for children & youth at St. Mark's Lutheran by the Narrows. She has grown up in the Lutheran church and understands her call to music ministry as an expression of her deep faith.
Outside the church Danielle plays lead French horn in the Pacific Northwest Ballet and Auburn symphony orchestra. She is an adjunct professor at Tacoma Community College teaching music appreciation, world music, and music in the classroom. She also teaches private lessons through the Federal Way School of Music in piano, horn and voice.
