Meet Our Staff!
Rev. Heidi Calhoun
Heidi joined the Nativity family as Pastor in January of 2019. She has been in Ministry for over 30 years with 21 of them ordained to Word and Sacrament. She has served many congregations in the greater Seattle /Tacoma area and worked in the nonprofit sector mobilizing congregations to serve their communities in the areas of housing, hunger and homelessness. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, traveling and walking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She and her 16 year old son keep busy with all of his activities and school commitments.
Evan has been Nativity's office manager since 2013, and a member of the Nativity family since childhood. He studied English at Western Washington University, earning a degree in Creative Writing which he puts to use moonlighting as a freelance writer. To fill his spare time, Evan enjoys card games and binge-watching old TV shows.
Steve has been working as the music coordinator at Nativity Lutheran Church since 2002. He studied music at UCR and U of O earning a bachelors, masters, and a doctorate in music. He enjoys composition and has written numerous anthems, liturgical music, and instrumental works for Nativity as well as having numerous piano works published by both FJH and Heritage Music. Steve enjoys travel, camping, sports, and waiting for his wife to take pictures. He has twin sons, Dylan and Zach, who smartly chose careers outside of music.
Greta Nehrenberg has been the choir director at Nativity since 2008. She started coming to Nativity when her husband Steve became the Music Coordinator in 2002. Greta has been a public school teacher for 30 years, teaching elementary music and more recently English Language Learners. Greta and Steve have twin sons, Dylan and Zach. Dylan is in his fourth year of medical school and Zach works at Microsoft. In her free time Greta enjoys being out in nature and taking massive amounts of pictures.
Adam Riddle is Nativity's staff custodian. He grew up attending Nativity, and went to school in the area, graduating from Green River with an AA. Currently he's continuing school while working as a para-educator with special needs students. He loves to play the drums, hiking and traveling.
