Worship Times
September through May
8:00 am – Spoken Setting
10:30 am – Easter Spoken Setting
The 8:00 am service is a spoken traditional liturgy of
Holy Communion with Scripture readings, message, and hymns from our Evangelical
Lutheran Worship, With One Voice and LBW hymnals. This 45 minute service
is followed by a brief time of coffee fellowship, leading up to our usual
Adult Education, High School Sunday School or Intergenerational Sunday School
time at 9:00 am.
The 10:30 am worship service includes
Holy Communion every Sunday and the Adult Choir leading us in song, until the
usual summer schedule begins June 17 (outdoor worship at 8:00 am; fellowship at
9:00 am; inside worship at 9:30 am.)
June through August
Nativity continues with two worship
opportunities each Sunday during the summer (mid-June through Labor Day), but
the times and locations change slightly in response to our active Northwest
outdoor lifestyle.
The 8 am service moves to our beautiful Outdoor Sanctuary (below the parking
lot) every week. The service format is informal, with Holy Communion each Sunday
and a mixture of contemporary faith songs and traditional hymns sung. In case of
rain we do move indoors, but we always hope for good weather and we’re usually
not disappointed.
Fellowship is offered between services, outside on the rear patio at 9 am. Stay
after or come early for the second service and join in the food, coffee and
visiting with one another.
9:30 am is the time for the indoor worship service. Holy Communion is also
offered every Sunday in a more informal worship setting than during the rest of
the year.
Whatever your schedule during the summer, we hope that you will be with us in
worship!
Midweek worship during Lent
7:00 pm Wednesdays (Often done in cooperation with other area churches – check the “news” page for details.)
