coming on Saturday, August 28:  Once again we share in a Blessing of the Pets service with our friends from United Christian Church of Renton and Pr. Ken Colman.  Come to the outdoor worship area on the 28th at 3pm with your well-behaved pet of any kind!
Help the kids of Renton get ready to go back to school!  You donation will be given directly to children in need within the Renton School District.  Bring your donation items to the Nativity collection box through August 31st.  Suggested items are 2” binders, composition notebooks, 24 pack crayons, 12” rulers, and colored pencils.  Thank you for your support!

Cindy Jackson, Director of Development, from Compass Housing Alliance will give a temple talk regarding the new Compass Veterans Center in Renton.  Nativity Lutheran is sponsoring a Studio Apartment with $2000 we approved in this year's budget. The sponsorship will go towards creating a home for a Veteran.
Reserve every night, July 25-29, 6 to 8 pm, for full, fun evenings of “The Heavens Are Telling The Glory Of God.”  Yes, this year we have an Outer Space theme, chock full of fun, food, fellowship, Bible stories, crafts, science projects, and special guests.  SBS as always is open to all ages – come and be part of the enjoyment of learning about and rejoicing in God’s splendid creation!  Take a poster off the back table and bring a friend, too!
Are you interested in nurturing our youth on their faith journeys? We are currently re-envisioning our youth Christian education programs here at Nativity and would like to invite all interested parties to attend our Youth Christian Education Summit on Thursday, July 22 at 7pm here at the church. If you are the parent or grandparent of a child or youth, enjoy the company of young people, care about the faith formation of our youth, and/or are a child or a youth – we want you to come and share your ideas and hopes and dreams with us. Older youth need not be accompanied by a parent, but all parents are encouraged to attend. If you are interested or have ideas to share but cannot attend this meeting, please contact Sarah Gregory or Faith Wilson. Snacks will be served!

Aaron Korneliussen, Titus Owen, Charlie Heckman, Brandon Gregory, Destiny Saunders … and the 10 servants from Kent Lutheran, depart for Cortez, Colorado this Friday morning July 9.  They will return on Sunday, July 18.

The next two Sundays, we will be blessed to be led in worship by our own Marcia Holland Risch (July 11) and Christy Ulleland (July 18).

Please pray for our Cortez servants as they embark on a 2400 mile round trip to the SW United States for service and faith building!
