2008 Renton CROP Walk report, by Sophie Chi

The 2008 Renton Crop Walk was held on May 4th.  Nativity Lutheran Church had 15 walkers and to date we have raised $1987.00.  I do not have the overall Renton Crop walk figures yet.  I would like to specially acknowledge Faith and David Wilson who between them both raised $600.00 of our total. Thank you!

We enjoyed a beautiful day along the Cedar River trail and the partly sunny weather was very welcome.  I think we did exceptionally well despite fewer walkers than in 2007.  I would like to thank all the walkers and sponsors who donated their time and money for the purpose of helping some of the 1.1 billion people in rural parts of the developing world that lack safe water to drink and food to eat.  We walk because they walk.  God Bless you always.
